Lucas Rifkin, MD, FCAP

Dr. Lucas Rifkin is a board-certified hematopathologist as well as anatomic and clinical pathologist in the medical affairs department. He has been with Labcorp Drug Development since August 2019. In his current role, Lucas is a senior medical director with management and leadership responsibilities; he serves as the CAP/CLIA laboratory director for the Indianapolis central laboratory location. Additionally, Lucas reviews cases in anatomic pathology, flow cytometry and hematopathology.  

Prior to joining Labcorp, Lucas completed his fellowship in hematopathology at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center (Lebanon, New Hampshire) and residency in anatomic and clinical pathology at Tulane University (New Orleans, Louisiana). Lucas obtained his medical degree from the University of Kentucky, completed a Doris Duke Clinical Research Fellowship at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
