ChrisSonia Winfree is a divisional quality director who specializes in providing oversight and guidance to divisional teams. Her guidance helps teams increase quality, maintain regulatory compliance, identify process gaps and develop opportunities for improvement. ChrisSonia has been with Labcorp since 1998, beginning as a technical trainee, advancing to laboratory manager of multiple locations, transitioning to quality manager for the National Office of Quality, and progressing to quality director in 2022.
ChrisSonia is currently focused on increasing efficiency using technological advances, improving partnerships, and driving a culture of quality across the division. ChrisSonia is a graduate of Salem College, located in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, where she earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology. She also earned her MBA in healthcare management from the University of Phoenix and is currently working toward her Six Sigma Black Belt.
When ChrisSonia is not at work, she enjoys listening to music, reading, cooking, writing and crocheting. Creating with her hands helps her to think “outside the box,” and provides work-life balance.
