Linda Thrasher is director of quality management for anatomic pathology, and she specializes in cytology and histology. Linda has been with Labcorp since 1998 as cytology processing supervisor, cytotechnologist, front-end manager and regional quality manager.
Linda previously worked in various laboratory, managerial and academic settings as: microbiology lab instructor at Minot State University; microbiology, immunology and histology lab instructor at Shenandoah University; and biology field research for the University of Virginia – Blandy Farms. She’s also worked with Fisher Diagnostics in the areas of product research and development, regulatory affairs, compliance and environmental health and safety.
Linda is currently involved with the new LIMS system for anatomic pathology at Labcorp. Linda is also working toward electronic solutions for the many logs and forms used in cytology. Linda is a veteran of the United States Air Force, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Cytology from the University of North Dakota School of Medicine, and she has over 30 years of experience working in the laboratory industry. She holds her ASCP certification as a cytotechnologist and is a member of the American Society for Clinical Pathology.
When she is not working, Linda can be found spending time with her family cooking, gardening and just spending time together.
